The House that Terry Thomas built up

The “House on the Hill” has a most interesting story to tell, for it was discovered by none other than Terry Thomas, one of Britain’s best loved comic actors. He fell in love with the place one day whilst riding horseback with his wife. It was love at first sight for them both and you can easily see why. As it looks out from its privileged spot the Can Talaias is lord and master over all that it surveys – unspoilt nature, and Mediterranean pine forests. Below lies San Carlos surrounded by beautiful villages and caves with only a few houses and vineyards nearby. Following his death in 1990 it was turned over into a rural hotel, one with all the trappings of chic and class. Its seven ensuite double rooms have a touch of style that Terry Thomas would approve, yet with the typical warm colours of Ibiza - orange and ochre - ever present. For no little amount of luxury combined with a typical Balearic atmosphere and those simply wonderful views, the Can Talaias is an excellent option.

ll	Tips & Getting There

Coming from the airport or Ibiza harbour, just follow the signs in direction of Santa Eulalia.
Go past Santa Eulalia towards San Carlos. Leave San Carlos behind and drive towards Es Figueral (straight ahead for approx. 2 km).
When you see a sign pointing to Cala Boix, turn right and follow the road for one kilometer (you will see a Spar-mini-market). On your right you'll find a large sign for Can Talaias . Follow the sign turning right , and follow the road up the hill. You will soon have reached the Can Talaias.
