| The recently inaugurated Corona D’Oro (Gold Crown Hotel) is part of the Bologna Art group of hotels, known for their historic locations and excellent service. The Corona D’Oro is no exception to this rule, being located in the historical Piazza Azzoguide in the heart of Bologna. It very much mirrors the history of this stunning city, combining an elegant mixture of different architectural styles - the gothic walls, renaissance ceilings, Art Nouveau hall, coats of arms on ceilings and the magnificent liberty of its entrance hall – which all together add up to a lavish atmosphere, as soon as one enters this sumptuous 14th century building. Rooms, though not overly large, carry on in this vein, being eclectically decorated in accordance to a number of periods and styles. So, if you love history, comfort and atmosphere this could be the place for you. Its two elegant meeting rooms and Internet access also make it a special place for business meetings. All in all, in our opinion the Corona D’Oro is a very good value hotel in view of its service, historic atmosphere and location. |

By Car from A1 highway:
Take the ’Bologna Casalecchio’ exit and follow Asse Attrezzato Sud-Ovest for 1 km. Go ahead and follow Via Camellini for 4 km and then Viale Pietro Nenni for 1 km until Bologna. Go always straight ahead and follow Via Giuseppe Saragat for 300 meter, turn the roundabout Rotonda Luciano Romagnoli towards Viale Gandhi, proceed for about 650 meter and then follow Via Tolmino, untill you turn left in Via Sabotino. Follow Via Sabotino for 700 meter and Via Monaldo Calari for 74 meter.Turn right and follow Via Della Grada. After 270 meter turn right and follow Via San Felice for about 500 meter. Then turn right in Via Guglielmo Marconi. After about 90 meter turn right and follow Via Belvedere for 150 meter. Then turn left in Via Nazario Sauro and then turn right in Via Parigi. After about 190 meter turn right and follow Via Manzoni for 115 meter, go straight ahead in Via Del Monte and after 120 meter turn right in Via Carbonara. Turn left and follow Via Sant'Alò for 38 meter, then turn right in Via Albiroli and then turn immediately right in Via Degli Albari. Then turn left and follow Via San Nicolò for 50 meter and finally turn right in Via Guglielmo Oberdan, where you’ll find the hotel.
By Car from airport G. Marconi: At sign "Bologna" follow the roundabout towards Via Dell'Aeroporto and turn left and follow Via Dell'Aeroporto for about 300 meter. At sign "Aeroporto" turn right and follow Via Del Triumvirato for 1 km until Bologna. Turn left, follow Via Emilia Ponente for 2 km and then follow Via Aurelio Saffi for about 700 meter. Turn right in Viale Giovanni Vicini and after 270 meter turn left in Via Monaldo Calari and then turn right, follow Via Della Grada for 270 meter. Turn right and follow Via San Felice for about 500 meter, turn right in Via Guglielmo Marconi. After about 90 meter turn right and follow Via Belvedere for 150 meter. Then turn left in Via Nazario Sauro and then turn right in Via Parigi. From Bologna Railway Station take bus lines 25 or 37 - stop Piazza Maggiore, 70 metres from the hotel. |
