Much, much more than a hotel, L’Andana is a luxurious estate comprising 500 hectares of beautiful Tuscan landscape. Once residence and hunting estate for Leopold II, the Grand Duke of Tuscany, back in the 1800s, the area is now one of the most beautiful stretches of countryside in Italy; the Maremma.
With its magnificent approach along an avenue of cypresses, the hotel has 33 beautiful rooms made up of Suites, Junior Suites and De Luxe rooms – all with wonderful panoramic views over the swimming pool, gardens, olive groves and vineyards. Under the guidance of architect Ettore Mocchetti, each of these very special rooms is an individually crafted work of art, gorgeous fabrics blending with more rustic details to create incredibly relaxing spaces. If it weren’t for the fact that you had some of the most beautiful scenery in Italy around, you may never want to leave the rooms.
As if this weren’t enough, the restaurant supervised by Alain Ducasse provides some excellent opportunities to indulge in both the specialities of the Maremma as well other, more individual creations including some of the finest seafood along the coastline of Tuscany.
L’Andana is a unique and sensual place to stay; whilst its prices may exclude some, those who feel ready to treat themselves and who appreciate wonderful landscapes, fine food, furnishings and charm will be amply rewarded. |

| The beauty of this area of Tuscany is the freedom it gives for all kinds of activities; walking, tennis, cycles to explore the paths and even an 18 hole golf course nearby, nestling between the lakes and hills. The town of Castiglione della Pescaia is close and has a beautiful old historic centre. The coast is just 3 miles away with the island of Elba in the distance. Boat trips, fishing, time on the beach, all can be arranged though equally, relaxation back at L’Andana, with a massage, a long relaxing lunch or a dip in the pool under the Tuscan sun may just steal the day. |

L’Andana can be approached from either the airports of Pisa (145km, 1hr 30mins), Florence (175km, 2hrs 15mins) or Rome (164km, 2hrs 15mins).
From Grosseto follow signs for Macchiascandona on the SP3 road. 15km after Grosseto you will arrive at a roundabout, take the third exit in the direction of Castiglione della Pescaia. A further 4km and you should see a long cypress-lined avenue. This is the entrance to the L’Andana. Welcome! |
