We find this lovely Tuscan Bed & Breakfast in Bibbona – a small village by the hills, some 8 kilometres from the sea and surrounded by olive groves and vine. How about that for typical Tuscany?

What’s more, we’re dealing with an old renovated house done up with absolute love by professional antique dealers, so you can imagine the quality of the furnishings. The seven bedrooms are all decorated with period pieces to create a homely, but still sophisticated ambience: perfumed soaps, a book, an object of the past mix it with Internet access, minibar, hairdryer, slippers and other small personal details.

An excellent breakfast made from local produce is also just the thing before setting out to explore the “Macchia della Magona” Regional park, made up of a thousand odd hectares of woods surrounding Bibbona up to the sea.
