The Posada de Babel is a pleasant countryside hotel with a somewhat vanguard design and urban façade, where the traditional and modern go hand in hand. The main building has large windows that let in lots of light and has comfortable views onto the gardens. Inside, it there is a reading and games room as well as library, all decorated in an attractive manner that perhaps tends to the modern. One of the outside units is the “horreo”, or corncrib that has been converted into sleeping quarters. Lovers of tranquillity will certainly enjoy the peace and romantic ambience it provides. Fine beaches and the magnificent Picos de Europa are all within easy reach whilst other activities include biking, trekking, cycling and mountaineering, amongst others.

ll	Tips & Getting There

If you are coming by car, head towards Llanes which is half the way between Oviedo and Santander on the N-634.Directly across from the turn-off for Llanes is a small, 2 km road to Parres-La-Pereda. Turn there.You’ll cross railroad tracks an will then come into a small village with a pretty church. Bear left here and go down this road approximately 300m and there you will find the Posada de Babel.
