The Locanda Ilune likes to say that “Another World is possible” and how true this is, for it seems to be one of those places on another planet – a faultless one. Faultless hosts, faultless house and faultless location to boot.

The beautiful small inn was actually rebuilt and renovated by Susanna and Jonny and, thankfully, they are artists of some talent. For example, there are only three rooms, but just look at the way they are decorated, candles, oil lamps, etc. wood beamed ceilings, a good dose of forged iron. You just can’t get any more romantic than this. Then there’s the hall with chimney, again very cosy, where you can read, play a game of chess, or if you’re feeling technological, even access the Internet.

A small covered terrace, accesses a small flower garden which is beautiful any time of year, though in the warmer months it’s perfect for a barbecue, or even a game of badminton which is available here. The kitchen - reserved for guests - offers local specialties with products of its own orchard and home made jams for breakfast – simply delicious – and you can get rid of any extra calories by making the most of the bicycles available at the Locanda Ilune to explore the beautiful surroundings. Horse riding is also available nearby.

All in all, this is an authentic paradise in the heart of Italy.

ll	Tips & Getting There

From the South:
a) Take the Aurelia state street. Pass Civitavecchia and take the Montalto exit in direction of Canino; turn left and follow in direction of Ischia di Castro; carry on towards Farnese and Pitigliano.
b) Take the A1 highway heading north. Exit at Orte and continue on the motorway in direction of Viterbo, where you then take Cassia Street in direction Siena; after a few kilometers turn left in direction Valentano and continue towards Pitigliano.
Once you arrive at Pitigliano, take the road towards Sorano. At kilometer 2.9 (at the big cypress) turn right into a small street. Welcome to the Locanda Ilune!
From North:
a) Take the state street Aurelia in southern direction. Exit a Albina and continue on the S.S.74 in direction Manciano and Pitigliano.
b) Take the highway A1 in southern direction. Exit at Orvieto and continue on the S.S.74 in direction Pitigliano.
Once you arrive at Pitigliano, take the road towards Sorano. At kilometer 2.9 (at the big cypress) turn right into a small street. Welcome to the Locanda Ilune!
