Locanda Novecento
A little gem of a hotel in the heart of Venice
Guests tend to fall in love with this trendy city boutique hotel. It’s easy to see why, as the Locanda Novecento is one of those places that seems to have everything going for it. Firstly, the location is near perfect, being just a stone’s throw away from the St Marco, yet peaceful enough to be away from the thronging crowds. Secondly, all nine rooms, though each different in character, are beautifully decorated in an eclectic taste, mirroring the owners good taste and extensive travels, with antique pieces, rugs and all the modern facilities one can ask for, being the norm. Some even come with four-poster beds and individual comforters. Bathrooms are also large and luxurious, in fact, they are probably as large as the rooms themselves. The delicious breakfast, we particularly highlight the cappuccinos, which are superb, is taken in an exquisite courtyard and finally we have the excellent and personalised service of this family owned hotel. This is a real plus in a city where hotels generally don’t have to try too hard to attract guests, making it a refreshing and very welcome addition to the Secretplaces selection. As a guest said it all makes for a “wonderful experience”.

From "Piazzale Roma" Venice car terminals :
It is necessary to park the car at Piazzale Roma, where there are two big garages:
Garage Comunale and Garage San Marco in Piazzale Roma terminal
From the terminals you can catch a private taxi boat (around Euro 65) and arrive near the Novecento.
From "Marco Polo Airport”:
From the terminals you can catch a private taxi boat (around 90€ and arrive near the Novecento in about 30 minutes).
or
You can catch the Laguna Shuttle boat bound for San Marco (12€ per person – one hour, more or less) and when you get there take the transport ACTV line n. 1 (direction to "Piazzale Roma" Euro 3.2 per person) and get off at stop "S. Maria del Giglio", you reach the Campo Santa Maria del Giglio and turn left to "Campo San Maurizio". On the left side of Campo San Maurizio you reach Calle del Dose, and then, on left side, the Novecento.
From "Santa Lucia" Venice train station
Out of the rail station you take the public boat transport ACTV line n. 1 (Euro 3.2 per person) and get off at the stop "Santa Maria del Giglio". From there to reach the Novecento see the above informations.
By private taxi you pay around Euro 65 and arrive near the Hotel (you get off just in front of Calle del Dose, in Canal Grande).
