This wonderful XVI century stately house is located in the old quarters of Palma next to the Cathedral and was turned into a hotel by a couple from Wales - the Pollards. The interior is of palatial proportions, indeed, this singular hotel feels more like a private museum in view of the quality of its objects d’art. These include a stone stairway leading onto a large hall room, a dining room - faithfully replicating Monet’s in Giverny - a small patio with fountain, sunny terraces, sculptures, as well as paintings and antiques throughout. There is also a covered swimming pool that is heated in winter and cooled in the summer. Furthermore, Casa Galesa is in the Gothic quarter of the capital, the real heart of the island for shopping and sightseeing.

ll	Tips & Getting There

The old town of Palma has a system known as ACIRE that limits traffic into the old part of town, but guests of the Casa Galesa are allowed in, as follows:

From the airport – Take the Avenida and at the traffic lights turn to the left into Antonio Planas i Franch and then the first at the left to Mateo Enric Lladó. Follow this with a first right into Plaza Santa Fe ACIRE. Once here, press the information bell (indicated with an I) and give the name of the hotel when asked. You will be let in and go straight on in until you see Posada de Montserrat - San Alonso - Pureza and the Carrer de Miramar where the Casa Galesa is located will be on your left.
