A recent guest said the following of the Quinta do Barro: “This is one of the loveliest places I have ever been to”. It may seem a grand boast, as the villa is neither super luxurious, adorned with the most modern gadgets, nor does it come with sophisticated furnishings or decor. It’s just that it is simply a great little place to spend a few days and relax in one of the most privileged areas of Portugal. The wonderful gardens, swimming pool and location on the west side of the beautiful Sintra mountains and Atlantic coast will make sure that a stay here is memorable. Being 1 1/2 km from the beach, the views of the surrounding countryside are simply wonderful and it is this combination of simplicity, comfort and location in equal measure that makes the Quinta dos Barros such a great little place.

Take A5, direction Cascais and exit on the last Exit, direction Malveira da Serra. In Malveira keep going direction Cabo da Roca, Colares. Stay on the main street. 10 minutes after Cabo da Roca crossing, at the week-end market in Almoçageme after the large curve, turn left direction Praia Grande into estrada do Rodizio. After 800m (you will pass “Toca do Júlio”, “Lar do Pinal” and “Firestone”) turn right at vivenda Mira Roca into Rua do Pego. Go to the end, to Quinta do Barro.
