That get away from it feel

As you enter by a small tree lined avenue, you’ll notice immediately that the Quinta do Troviscal is the place to get away from it all, yet without being too far away from beautiful monuments and architecture. Let us explain. Firstly, it is located nearby to one of Potugal’s loveliest cities – Tomar, home of the UNESCO World heritage site of The Convent of Christ – in a stunning setting. Not only is it surrounded by luxuriant flora, it also has private access to the Castelo de Bode dam, so there’s “Water Water everywhere”, so to speak, around the Troviscal. The combination of the turquiose blue of the water, the green of the vegetation and the ever present sweet aroma of the well kept gardens, whatever the season, add up to make the Quinta do Troviscal truly fine place to step out of the rat race and enjoy bucollic charm. The two double rooms and suite that make up the Quinta also make the most of the areas natural attributes, large windows, to let as much natural light in as possible with views to the garden and dam, to match, whilst the exterior house (cutely named house of monsters, if ever there was a misnomer in a name, this is it, for this house with its garden, bunk bed – ideal for two couples – and view is utterly cute). Should you tear yourself apart from the Quinta do Troviscal, then you will find the whole area one of the most rewarding in the whole of Portugal in termas of architecture, landscape and gastronomy. Via highway A1 exit at TORRES NOVAS.
Follow A23 in direction of CASTELO BRANCO until you reach exit in direction of TOMAR. Take N110 and go ahead until you come to a roundabout. Turn right, following directions for BARRAGEM DE CASTELO DE BODE. After 5 km you will find a sign for CASALINHO and ALVERANGEL to your left. Follow the directions until you reach a sign indicating TURISMO RURAL, turn into the dirt track. After approx. 1 km you will reach Quinta do Troviscal.
