Situated 15 km from Faro, this is a typical Algarve rural property located within a picturesque setting that feels somewhat like a small village. The farm Quinta dos Amigos itself has over 3 acres .

The Quinta also boasts two swimming pools, one of which is for children, situated in beautiful garden surroundings with space for everyone. It is, therefore, an excellent place for the whole family to stay. The apartments are attractive and eclectically furnished – evidence of the welcoming owner’s travels around the world. Other attractions include appealing beaches close by and easy access to golf courses, tennis and aquatic sports. Its setting within some more modern houses and restaurants at the outskirts of Almancil is soon forgotten once you pass the main door. One of our favourite places in the Algarve.

Please note: There is currently some construction taking place in some surrounding area, but this does not take anything away from the enjoyment of the Quinta dos Amigos one of our favourite places in the Algarve.

The São Lourenço church in Almancil dates back to the 16th century and is classified as of public interest. Has noteworthy tiles inside. Also of interest ist the Cultural centre (Centro Cultural de São Lourenço ) with some important works by Portuguese and foreign artists. If you love nature visit the Ria Formosa Natural Park: Roughly 60km long, this is one of Europe's last remaining intact coast lines. Has an abundance of marine life and an extremely rich ecosystem ideal for the development of a variety of flora and fauna. The Vale do Lobo is an exclusive residential and recreational estate covering 2,000 acres of lush, rolling countryside and pine forests bordered by the Atlantic Ocean.

ll	Tips & Getting There

From Lisbon: Head south on the A2 crossing the bridge Ponte 25 de Abril and follow the highway until the end; it will lead you into the main road IP1, follow until you arrive at the Via do Infante highway in the direction of Faro. Make the exit for Almansil and follow all the sign posts leading you to the center of Almansil; once on the main road, turn on the first to you right heading for Quarteira/Vale do Lobo, follow this road keeping to your right and you will find the Quinta dos Amigos on your right hand side; as a reference, the walls are painted in light paint and there is a Moroccan restaurant right next to it.
