A simply magical place to stay in Torrita di Siena

The Rezidenza d’Arte is one of those unique and lucky places where everything about it seems to be magical. It’s all here, history, romance, nature, poetry and art, making this an accommodation that, as one guest put it, “has to be seen to be believed”. By that we mean that the combination of an old Tuscan farmhouse, with its stone walls, fireplaces and arches with some of the most innovative pieces of art – over 300 to be exact - is simply done to perfection. In truth, a stay here is just as much as an artistic experience as anything else and you get this impression as soon as the Residenza d’Arte comes regally into view over the cypress clad knoll, next to the 14th century village of Torrita di Siena (please note the famous city of Siena is actually about an hour’s drive away). Once you get there, you will be bowled over by the house, gardens (just witness the art sprinkled throughout) and surrounding countryside. Rooms, of course, are also uniquely decorated with works of art, sculptures and paintings, whilst maintaining some of the old word charms such as the wooden beams and fireplaces. Without exception the space is extremely ample and all have gardens from which to enjoy the enchanting views of the olive groves and surrounding countryside. Wherever you are, every little corner vies for you attention and with such an atmosphere it’s likely that guests will be inspired to do something special. True to form, painting courses are available at the Residenza d’Arte as well as cultural tours in the most important cities of the Tuscany, wine tours in Montepulciano, Montalcino, and Chianti area. By Car from Florence or Rome:
Take the A1 Autosole toll way and Exit at VAL DI CHIANA and follow the signs for TORRITA DI SIENA. When you come to Torrita di Siena, follow the signs for RESIDENZA D’ARTE until you arrive on the top of a nice little hill. At the top there is a stairs and a church in front of you with the entrance gate on your left. Park and follow the sign for the reception. Reception is inside the second building on your left.
By train:
There is also a train station in TORRITA DI SIENA with quick and comfortable transportation to CHIUSI (about 20 minutes), from where you can transfer to Rome and Florence in little more than an hour.

Florence: 90 km (I hour away)
Pisa: 135 km (1.40 h)
Bologna: 195 km
Rome: 213 km
