The common denominator of all Room Mate hotels is a hip, modern feel, one where value for money and style go hand in hand. The Room Mate Lola fits perfectly into this philosophy, but it is no duplicate/clone. It has its own unique personality.

Inaugurated in August 2006, it was decorated by the interior designer Lorenzo Castillo and very much based on the US East Coast summer resorts, using flat and less conventional colours such as turquoise, emerald green, and porpoise, in addition to white, black and silver. The sort of colours, in fact, that Picasso might have used in a painting, and by a happy coincidence, the Picasso museum is just nearby, in the very heart of downtown Malaga.

The great man would surely have approved of the Lola’s vibrant modernity and clever mix with selected antique pieces. All of its 50 rooms are furnished with mirrors and highly decorative elements and, of course all the latest technological gadgets such as WIFI Internet connections (free) and Flat screen TV.

The innovative concept of service, stylish modern design and reasonable prices lives on in the Room Mate Lola. Plus there's another advantage - the great location. The Room Mate Lola is situated right in the middle of the commercial centre of town, next to the port and historic centre of town, only minutes from the Picasso Museum.

ll Tips & Getting There
By Plane:
If you are arriving at the Pablo Ruiz Picasso airport you can take a taxi directly or take a RENFE train (C-1 line in Málaga-Renfe direction, get off at Málaga-Centro stop) which will take you directly downtown. Line 19 (Aeropuerto-Paseo del Parque) goes to the Alameda Principal stop, a few meters from the hotel.

By Train:
The train arrives at Málaga Maria Zambrano station, from which you can either take a taxi or walk directly (approx. 15 min.)

By Bus:
This is the best option to arrive to Room Mate Lola, since all the bus lines are centered between Alameda Principal and Paseo del Parque, downtown right next to the hotel.

By Metro:
The construction has already started in the city to build the new metro, we will be able to take advantage of its facilities in a few years.

By Car:
Entering Malaga from Madrid , Cordoba or Sevilla:

You will enter Malaga through the A-45 highway towards the center by the Avenida Jacinto Benavente, go straight on the Avenida Ramón y Cajal (N-331) and the Avenida Jorge Silvela (N-331). Take a right on the Avenida Luis Buñuel and then on the right to Paseo de los Martiricos. Continue straight on the Avenida de Fátima, Puente de Tetuán y Pasillo del Matadero. Join to the left on the Puente de la Misericordia and keep going straight for Calle Linaje. Take a right on Alameda de Colón and once again go left on Calle Barroso. Once more to the left you'll see Calle Somera, and you'll see the entrance to the garage to Room Mate Lola.
