This renovated farm lies within 7 hectares of land bordering the river Arade near the historical village of Silves and uniquely situated in a nature and bird watching area. What you get is the wonderful feeling of an old Portuguese farm with modern comfort and luxury - all set up in a peaceful place full of rest, space and nature. You won’t hear the hordes of tourists or car horns, rather the natural sounds birds singing, crickets and the wind blowing in the reed.
Yet the place is not old world fuddy duddy. Under the auspices of a renowned architect, it was turned into a surprisingly trendy accommodation. This also goes to any of the 3 well apportioned self catering apartments or 6 suites which all come with comfortable spring beds, high quality mattresses and rain showers.
Despite being a peaceful oasis, the Tapada do Gramacho is surprisingly central. A 10 minute car drive will take you to great beaches, golf courses, restaurants and several towns.

Tapada do Gramacho is in the middle of the Algarve. Within one hour you are in Spain or in Sagres, the most westerly point of Europe. But most things you want to do or visit take just 5 to 20 minutes by car. And when you return after a trip to Lagos or having played golf, paid a visit to the beach, you can completely relax at Quinta Tapada do Gramacho. From the moment you turn on the track to the Quinta, you feel the peace and quietness.
