This turn of the century mansion – a wealthy banker’s gift to his daughter – was “discovered” by Josep Boix and his wife Loles Vidal twenty years ago and converted into an extremely luxurious hotel. At the foot of the Pyrenees, very close to Puigcerdá and shaded by impressive secuoyas, the mansion has beautifully decorated rooms: Italian furniture, Greek marble, Jacquard tapestries and Versace paintings. All baths have hydro-massage, and each bathroom has Nina Ricci products for the visitor to use. The owner himself runs the restaurant, with superb desserts. For anyone visiting the Catalan Cerdanya, a visit to Torre del Remei is an absolute must.
