Located on the eastern side of the Algarve in the beautiful Sotavento nature reserve the Vila Monte Resort was built in 1993 and recently renovated to a fine standard. The views it affords it lovely and encompass the Atlantic. It is an excellent place for the sports minded or lovers of good food. Vila Monte Resort, for example, includes its own golf academy, swimming pools, tennis court, sun terraces, health spa, beauty parlour and a health centre all in site. A short drive allows for other activities such as boating, diving and fishing. It is, of course, located in prime golf country with some of the finest clubs in Europe to easily reached. The quality of its cuisine has been recognised with membership of the Confrèriè de la Chaines des Rotisseurs in Paris. All rooms are individually furnished and contain works by Adolfo, who set up this resort.

The Vila Monte Resort has a Quinta Gallery to preserve the heritage of the deceased artist Adolfo. Exhibitions of local artists are organised regularly. Within the resort you can enjoy various sport and leasure facilities, such as gym, jacuzzis, beauty treatments, spa, tennis court and the hotel's own golf academy. Situated in Europe's best Golf region, the hotel offers reduced greenfees for the four 18 holes golf courses the vicinity: Quinta da Ria, Quinta da Cima, Benamor Golf and Castro Marim Golf & Country Club. As there are fine beaches nearby, you can dip into the ocean, go boating, fishing or diving. One should also visit Tavira, probably the most beautiful cities in the Algarve with many historic monunments.

ll	Tips & Getting There

The Hotel - Resort is located near the village of Moncarapacho, a few miles north-east of Olhão. Directions by car:

- From Faro International Airport (20 min.)
Take the A22 motorway direction ESTE/ESPANHA and leave at the Olhão/Moncarapacho exit.

- From the Spanish border (25 min.)
Follow the A22 motorway direction OESTE/LISBOA and leave at the Olhão/Moncarapacho exit.

At the first roundabout follow the road direction to Moncarapacho. After 800 m you will see the entrance to the resort on your left. Cross the small bridge and pass the gate on the right towards the reception.
