El hecho de estar situado en el VI Arrondissement (distrito) de París, proporciona al Hotel Le Sainte-Beuve un cierto aire intelectual, al ser esta zona propia de grandes editoras, facultades, librerías y pequeños teatros – por no mencionar estupendos restaurantes, cafés y tiendas de antigüedades. Esto da como resultado el que se respira un cierto aire de autenticidad, con menos turistas y la consiguiente babel de sonidos que los acompaña – aunque el sector sigue siendo muy céntrico, con el Barrio Latino y los Jardines de Luxemburgo a un corta distancia de aquí. Por tanto es un dinero bien utilizado si lo que se busca es un buen alojamiento que nos brinde el auténtico sabor de París. El hotel tiene clase – como la zona que lo circunda – y fue decorado con un gusto excelente por el famoso diseñador británico David Hicks. Los huéspedes se sienten cómodos y arropados – y es que la filosofía del Sainte-Beuve es que la gente se encuentre como en su casa. Una casa muy elegante, por cierto, con habitaciones decoradas en colores pastel, luces indirectas y sábanas de hilo. . . ¡la chimenea del vestíbulo es auténtica! – y es que aquí no hay nada artificial. Nos encantó, sobre todo tomando en consideración la relación precio–calidad.

"We loved this place and will be back. It is charming from the second you enter the secure front doors. One can't ask for nicer, professional staff. They will help with any question. We were there on Bastille Day and the receptionist helped steer us in the right direction to watch the parade-- it was perfect. They helped with finding pastries we wanted, metros, taxis, tours. And internet access was as promised, unlike most hotels that use that to get you there and then don't have it. The rooms are very well designed and the remodel is fabulous. Robe and slippers, huge bath, hot water, quiet street, excellent in every way. Romantic, small, and one of the best small places we've stayed in - anywhere. We've stayed in Paris many times - I didn't think this great a place was possible, but it's truly Paris at its best."
