The Firs is a lovely and small Bed & Breakfast on the outskirts of Bath city centre. It is set in a lovingly restored Victorian guesthouse, decorated with soft colours and filled with natural light. There are 6 bedrooms, each with a private or en suite bathroom, TV, and tea and coffee facilities. The kitchen is in typical country style, with duck egg blue cupboards, an open fire, and AGA oven. In the morning, you'll love to sit down at the large but intimate dining table, or in the flowering garden on summer days, for the fresh continental breakfast. There's also a cosy living room for you to relax in and read a book or chat to your fellow guests. Your host, Dawn, is always available to make your stay the best it can be, accompanied by her little ginger cat, Bob. Bob doesn't go into any of the rooms but is very friendly and loves to say hi.
The house is located just outside of Bath's city centre and so is in a quieter neighbourhood for a peaceful night's sleep. You can reach the centre by walking through Royal Victoria Park, which has a playground for children and lovely botanical gardens, and the famous Royal Crescent and Circus. The walk will take about 30 minutes. Alternatively, you can catch a bus from near the house. Just a few minutes walk away is Chelsea Road, where you'll find an array of small, independent shops, cafes, and restaurants.
