19tile Boutique House is the perfect place to experience the art of Portuguese ceramics whilst feeling at home. This 19th century mansion has been beautifully renovated and decorated by 7 ceramic artists, from the town of Caldas da Rainha. There are over 100 original ceramic pieces in the house for you to find and if you're interested in getting to know more then your hosts can organise visits to the artists' studios and workshops. 

Feel at home in the wonderfully cosy rooms and communal breakfast table, where full Irish and English breakfasts are served. If you want to experience the tasty local produce then you can borrow one of the house's shopping trolleys and wander down to the market to buy some fresh, tasty fruit, which can be prepared in the modern kitchen. There you can also find Art Noveau buildings and ceramics stalls. Alternatively, take the fruit to the Don Carlos I romantic park just down the road. If you fancy exploring then there's lots to do in the area. The medieval village of Obidos is just a 15 minute drive and the beaches of Peniche and Nazaré are only 30 minutes. Even Lisbon is just 40 minutes away, making the perfect day trip.
