Located in a small valley at the centre of Menorca, and surrounded by a luxurious garden replete with oak and palm trees, this 19th century aristocratic house has been transformed into an elegant and attractive accommodation – a perfect antidote for those looking to get away from stress and city life.
Decoration has been done with style and care. English and Minorca period pieces, 18th century classical furniture and Persian carpets in common areas, blend together with more modern fittings and sloping ceilings whilst the light airy colours of ochre, blue and amber, so typical of the Mediterranean, predominate throughout. The end result is that nothing has been taken away from the house’s aristocratic credentials and much has been added to increase the comfort of guests. There are many little corners from which to enjoy peace and tranquillity, none more so than from ground floor rooms, which all come with their own private gardens and where, weather permitting, a memorable breakfast can be enjoyed. Those on the first floor need not despair as these one out onto landings with views of the countryside.
The Sant Ignasi is within an easy reach of all the beaches on the northern and southwestern coast of the island and the town of Ciutadella de Menorca is a delight to behold.

A quiet and charming oasis

We spent one week at the hotel only a short drive from the georgeous city of Cituadella. A little bit too far from the beaches but because we rented a car for the hole week we reached several beaches within half an hour drive. A beautiful building and a georgeous garden sorrounding it where peacocks, cocks and turtles walked freely around. The pool area and the outdoor restaurant were clean and beautiful, and so were the rooms. The hole hotel is beautiful furnished but the beds were too short for long Norwegians. The breakfast was great, but the a la carte was disappointing - the menu only had a few dishes and the portions were too small. We missed to have the option to order a simple pizza, a burger or a Blt at lunch. Only one small bottle of water complementary is too cheap for two persons for one week. There should be one bottle per person every day at a hotel this expensive. The staff was helpful and nice. I would heartly recommend this hotel and would love to come back.
