Mandarin Boutique Hotel
Mandarin is a delightful boutique hotel situated in an unspoilt natural setting close to south-west Turkey's magnificent Turquoise Coast.
Perfect for nature lovers who also value a touch of luxury and a high level of personal service, Mandarin has been designed as a stylish and supremely comfortable hideaway, which nevertheless boasts a pleasantly informal atmosphere without any hint of stuffiness or pretension.
Mandarin comprises just eight guestrooms and thus offers a very intimate ambience, making it the perfect venue for honeymooners, romantic couples, special celebrations and even high-level business meetings.
Please note that, to maintain its air of tranquillity, Mandarin does not accept children under the age of 14 years.
Mandarin’s deluxe guestrooms and suites are extraordinarily spacious, and equipped to the highest standards. Bespoke, hand-carved wood furnishings lend the interiors a distinct sense of traditional charm, whilst up-to-the-minute facilities include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, CD/DVD players, fridges and hospitality trays. All rooms have large terraces or balconies, and each has its own Jacuzzi.
Mandarin’s resident hosts go out of their way to make guests feel at home and to help them get the most out of their stay. Days get off to a good start with a wholesome breakfast (which can be served in your room at no extra cost if preferred) including homemade jams and eggs from Mandarin’s own chickens cooked to order. The five course evening meals, focusing on traditional recipes and fresh local produce, really are an event to look forward to.
Mandarin's enchanting garden and stylish communal lounge areas invite guests to read or write, play cards, chat to their hosts and fellow holidaymakers, or linger over a drink from the bar. For those wishing to do no more than soak up the warm Turkish sun, marvel at the gorgeous views and enjoy the tranquil setting, Mandarin has a good-sized swimming pool and a large outdoor Jacuzzi.
In spite of Mandarin's rural setting, a hire car is not strictly necessary, as the local dolmus (minibus) service serves both the renowned beach resort of Oludeniz (9 km) and the bustling harbour town of Fethiye (22 km).
The surrounding area boasts a wealth of archaeological sites and natural attractions, and keen walkers are kept happy with plenty of scope right on Mandarin’s doorstep, as the hotel lies alongside the route of the famous Lycian Way.
Those seeking further energetic thrills can enjoy scuba-diving in Oludeniz or even experience paragliding from the peak of Mount Babadag. By car or local taxi, guests can reach the sandy beach of Kidrak in around 10 minutes, whilst confident swimmers can bathe off the rocks at Aktas, around 20-30 minutes’ walk away.
