B&B Cortis Antigas

Located in the historic area of the village of Gesturi, among cobblestone streets and ancient churches lies the mansion of Cortis Antigas that was built for a noble family in the 19th century.
In this delicately restructured home, it is possible to admire the ingenious building techniques of ancient local traditions: stone walls, mud and straw bricks (ladiri), roofs made of wooden beams and reed, original flooring of the period.
Remodeling a home such as this one and converting it into a B&B was the idea of a young archaeologist who had the vision of making his guests experience the real spirit of Sardinia, far away from the crowds and the beaches.
The rooms are decorated with unique pieces from the mid-1800s, each one has its own identity that differs them from others: ceilings in wood and reed; stonemasonry left visible; period flooring; curtains made by local tailors; French balconies in wrought iron and wooden headboards painted by hand. From the windows of the home you can admire part of another noble villa. Unfortunately, the rooms cannot be equipped with extra beds.
Because public transportation is not a reliable mode of transport, it is advised to travel by your own means. It’s recommended to have a car to be able to see as much of the island as possible. For example the archeological complex Su Nuraxi of Barumini, patrimony of the UNESCO, and the last remaining wild horses in Europe!
