Luxury Villa in the French Riviera.
If you are looking for a luxurious yet genuine stay within the Golden Triangle of Grasse, Valbonne and Mougins then there can only be one option – the Bastide St Mathieu. It may only be 25 minutes from Nice and 15 minutes from Cannes, but it is a real oasis of peace, set as it is within a wonderfully kept 2 hectare garden.
The discreet sophistication of the French Riviera is ubiquitous here and even the five rooms are named after famous Riviera figures, such as Bardot, Cole Porter, James Baldwin, etc. The rooms, suites actually, are all individually furnished to a top notch level and have nice little touches such as Ralph Lauren Bathrobes, amongst other mod cons.
In short, it is a totally luxurious home from home and herein lies the only potential drawback for some. It may have homely feel and wonderfully accommodating hosts but it does not serve lunch or dinner (breakfast though is a fantastic treat, by the way). This may be a small price to pay for those looking for a refined stay near the perfume town of Grasse, in the thick of the French Riviera yet and be indulged and pampered to their hearts content.
Room names and sizes are as follows: Cole Porter Junior Suite 75 m2 + terrace; James Gordon Bennett Suite 75 m2; Sissi (Elizabeth of Austria) Room 50 m2; Bertie (Albert, Prince of Wales) Room 70 m2; Bardot Room 45 m2
