Cycladic Villa ERoza

Cycladic Villa Eroza is a three storey house with incredible views over Ioulida, the castle and the Aegean Sea. The small village of Ioulida, the island’s capital, with its typical red tiled roofs and cobbled lanes, sits in the middle of the island on top of a rocky promontory. From the ferry harbour at Korissia to the capital it is around 5 to 6 kilometres.

The house is laid out over three floors. On the ground floor you are welcomed by a very cosy living room with a fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen and a small guest bathroom. The doors open on to a furnished terrace where sunsets over the rooftops of Ioulida become memories you will carry with you for ever. Upstairs you will find a double bedroom with its own bathroom and a lovely balcony overlooking the village. The lower floor houses a second, very spacious bedroom, also with an en suite bathroom and access to another terrace, which makes the house ideal for families of up to five people, as there is a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. Inside, everything has been decorated with great care, is spotlessly clean and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay: good beds, Wi Fi, streaming services, a desk and a dining area.

The house is very peaceful and you are only a short walk from the centre of Ioulida, reached along charming little alleyways where you will find shops and restaurants. There is parking for your car and the host, Sofia, is always attentive. She gives you your privacy, but is available whenever you need her.

The island of Kea, or Tzia as the Greeks call it, feels as if time has stood still. It is only an hour by ferry from Athens, with stone built houses, quiet tavernas, footpaths still used by the locals and a coastline that opens out into small coves. Villages such as Korissia and the harbour of Vourkari are lively in summer, while in winter a gentle stillness settles over the island. There are secluded little coves as well as wide bays such as Koundouros or Otzias, with clear water for swimming and simple beach bars where you can eat fresh fish.
