Lose yourself in the authentic Italian countryside at Stazzo Chivoni, a rustic cottage dating back to the beginning of the 19th century. Surrounded by 2 hectares of unspoiled countryside, filled with cork woods, holly groves and wild olive trees, it is the perfect tranquil setting to enjoy some peace and quiet in the fresh country air. Sheltered from the wind, the Stazzo enjoys the best of Italian weather - warm summers and mild winters. The granite walls mean that the Stazzo stays cool even in the height of summer. So with its rustic bohemian decor, vine branches, sea shells, fireplace, and bookshelves, Stazzo Chivoni makes for an incredibly comfortable stay.

The outdoor veranda, complete with seating areas and hammocks, is the perfect place to enjoy an evening meal or glass of homemade wine, whilst admiring the beautiful surrounding landscapes. Kids will not get bored, climbing the boulder-like rocks and searching for the many neighbours of the Stazzo, including turtles, cows, hens with their chicks, donkeys, owls, and the hosts' friendly cat, Gattis. The eggs at breakfast are actually collected from the neighbouring hens, so you know they're free range and organic, as are the vegetables and fruits grown in the Stazzo's own gardens.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy during the day and Stazzo Chivoni is in the ideal location to reach all of them. There are the large beaches of the west coast, fashionable beaches of Costa Smeralda, and beaches ideal for water sports and diving, such as Porto Pollo, Palau, and Capo Testa. The clear, Mediterranean sea is perfect for snorkeling, diving, and sailing. If you'd rather stick to the land, then there is a huge variety of different landscapes for you to explore. Go by car, bike, or foot to the country churches, cork woods and archeological sites of Luogosanto, the monolith of Mount Pulchiana, the boulder strewn landscape of Valle della Luna, or the pine woods of Maount Limbara. During the Easter and Summer, taking part in a country feast is an absolute 'must do'. Here you'll be able to experience typical shepherds' food, live music and local dances.

Please see Stazzo Chivoni for a self catering experience in the 2 bedroom cottage (accommodating up to 5 people).
