Quinta do Barrieiro, with its 5 hectares of nearly untouched nature, is a small universe of its own. A cluster of independent houses set at around 750 meters above sea level, offering sweeping views over valleys, mountains and the village of Marvão. Here, one rediscovers the simple pleasures: making a coffee, sitting on the terrace, and watching the morning dew slowly evaporate in the first rays of sunlight. 

It is a deeply peaceful place where nature blends seamlessly with art. The owner, Maria Leal da Costa, has scattered sculptures throughout the property, creating an intimate dialogue between landscape and artistic expression. 

The houses, ranging from lofts to three-bedroom units, are all independent and feature kitchenette-style kitchens. Their décor simple, traditional and authentic reminds you that you are in Portuguese lands, offering a genuine experience without excess, at a very appealing price. 

There are countless ways to enjoy the surroundings: birdwatching, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, or excursions to nearby historic towns such as Castelo de Vide. It is also an ideal area for wild mushroom foraging, a mycological activity deeply rooted in the land and its traditions.
