Octant Vila Monte

Octant Vila Monte is like a little island of tranquillity in the beautiful Moncarapacho area of the Algarve. This 5-star hotel is designed so that you can enjoy many amenities without having to leave, although the idea is not to stay ‘cooped up’ in a resort, but to explore the region and discover its charms. Even so, if you feel like playing tennis, going for a bike ride, enjoying a massage, eating well and having everything at your fingertips, you'll find it all here. Following a major refurbishment in 2025, the hotel looks particularly beautiful and retains the unmistakable Octant stamp. Set among courtyards and paths lined with orange trees, the typically Portuguese-inspired architecture avoids the feeling of a large hotel complex and creates a relaxed atmosphere. You can book a room, but if you prefer more independence, there are also houses, some with up to three bedrooms.

For golf lovers, there is no course on site, but several nearby 18 hole options are available, including Quinta de Cima, Quinta da Ria, Monte Rei and Quinta do Vale, roughly 26 to 41 km away. The hotel offers a tennis court by reservation, a 24 hour gym, and seasonal activities such as yoga, hiking and cycling.

The gastronomic offer is divided between two restaurants: À TERRA, focused on local produce and honest cuisine, and Laranjal, with a refined atmosphere and a more sophisticated menu. In season, there is a lively summer bar next to one of the three swimming pools. The spa has a treatment and massage room, as well as a wellness menu with different therapies. Yoga classes are also offered.

Moncarapacho, in the eastern Algarve, is a quiet area, far from the more crowded areas. From here, it is easy to visit the characterful towns of Olhão and Tavira, and to reach the white sand beaches and the beautiful Ria Formosa. The area is ideal for cycling, as well as boat trips to islands and wide stretches of sand.
