Islands, sheltered bays and Fjords

Hordaland is the third largest county in Norway and is a region consisting of islands, sheltered bays, Fjords, stunning waterfalls and glaciers. Boasting over 100 national parks, including the Hardanger Mountain Plateau which is the largest national park in Norway, this region is the perfect outdoor escape. Hordaland is home to the city of Bergen, Norway’s second largest city and on the UNESCO world heritage list. Those who visit this beautiful city will enjoy the colourful harbour as well as the growing food and drink scene, mainly due to the high student population in the city. A real highlight of this region is a hike to the Trolltunga viewpoint – one of the most scenic cliffs in Norway offering the most incredible views of the surrounding landscape.
