The house is intimate and thoughtfully designed, with a soft, calm palette, natural materials and a warm, harmonious atmosphere.

The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area flows directly into the private courtyard, allowing life indoors and outdoors to blend naturally.

Surrounded by lush green plants, the courtyard feels like a hidden garden. An old water tank offers a refreshing place to cool off on warmer days, while upstairs, a sunny terrace provides another peaceful space to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

On arrival, guests are welcomed with a small breakfast of carefully selected local products and a bottle of Portuguese wine.

From here, Olhão is best explored on foot. The town’s markets, restaurants and waterfront are around seven minutes away, as are the boats departing for the islands of Armona and Culatra.

Saturday mornings are particularly special, when small local producers gather around Olhão’s markets with fresh, seasonal produce — a wonderful way to experience the town at its most authentic.

Beyond Olhão, the channels, salt marshes, salt pans and sandy islands of the Ria Formosa define the unique landscape of this part of the Algarve.

Getting There & Getting Around: You Should Know

A car is not essential if your stay is focused on Olhão and the nearby islands, as much of the town can easily be explored on foot. It is useful, however, if you plan to discover more of the Algarve.

The house accommodates a maximum of two guests. The breakfast is a welcome gesture on arrival rather than a daily breakfast service.
