Cas Gasi Hotel. Ibiza

12 minutes from the town of Ibiza there lies a little place called Cas Gasi surrounded by an assortment of orchards, olive groves and trees, as well as an organic garden. These 12 minutes may as well be a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city for this 19th century country house place places tranquility and calm at its very heart, and this is evident as soon as its whitewashed facade, traditional stonewalls and assorted flora, come into view.
The typical external architecture of the house is largely flows on inside. Thanks to this goes to Margaret von Korff and Luis Trigueros who on acquiring this house 22 years ago have thankfully taken great care to maintain the authenticity and decoration of a typical Mediterranean house. Hence the warm colours of ochre, cream and blues, wooden beam, hand painted tiles and Marrakesh type carpets and the many pleasant surprises guests will find throughout the common areas, be it old furniture pieces or local handicrafts, or even a good book to read from the extensive library.
Everything has a place and a purpose, even the geography of the house has been built to take full advantage of the summer sun and protect it from the winter winds.
Visitors can also take their pick from two different swimming pools situated at two different levels. Its central location in Ibiza further makes it a good base to visit a number of Ibiza's attractions, including fine beaches and pretty towns.
