Calçada Guesthouse

The charming boutique hotel Calçada Guesthouse is located in the heart of the historic center of Tavira.

The accommodation offers six individually decorated rooms, all with air conditioning, heating and a private bathroom. Four of the rooms open onto the small lounge located at the front of the building. The other two rooms have private terrace areas with tables and chairs ideal for enjoying a coffee and relaxing.

In the house lounge, you will find a bean-to-cup coffee/tea machine with a selection of teas and a dispenser of chilled, filtered water which you can use at any time. We also provide bottle openers and wine glasses, as well as a fridge on the rooftop terrace to store your drinks and snacks. Additionally, there is a rooftop terrace where you can relax on comfortable chairs and enjoy warm summer nights with wonderful views of Tavira. The entire house has good Wi-Fi access.

You can choose to have breakfast, highly recommended, which consists of homemade bread and croissants, seasonal fruit salad, ham, Portuguese cheeses, yogurt, homemade muesli, a variety of teas, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. It is served at your private table on the rooftop terrace when the sun is shining and inside when the weather is not suitable.

Tavira is one of the most architecturally attractive cities in the Algarve, and cafes, restaurants, museums, galleries, castles and Roman bridges are within walking distance. The summer ferry runs several times a day and is only a few hundred meters from the Bed & Breakfast. It will take you to the beautiful golden beach of Tavira Island, which has been rated one of the top 10 beaches in the world by Lonely Planet.

The nearest airport is Faro, just 30 minutes' drive from Calçada Guesthouse.

From March to October, the accommodation operates as a B&B.

But from November to March, it can also be a co-living/work accommodation with a minimum of 30 days.

The house also adapts to the latest trend of remote working. The owners' goal is to create a space where guests can make fun memories, friends, future contacts and be inspired to produce their most amazing work. If you are looking for an authentic Algarve experience, this house is the perfect co-living space. All rooms, as well as the lounge, are equipped with desks for working. They also have a dedicated workspace room with desks and office chairs. On the beautiful rooftop terrace, you can work at a table while enjoying the sun at the same time.
