Minimalist and magical is how best to describe the Muralli Zirí apartments and their location, right in the centre of the outstanding city of Granada.

You are Literally in the heart of the Albayzin, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Cathedral, Darro River, Alcaicería and, last but certainly not least, the Alhambra can almost be touched and some of the 12 accommodations even have views of the Alhambra itself.

We can also add historical, for The Zirí clan founded the Kingdom of Granada around the 11th Century and some parts of this accommodation have been rebuilt incorporating the original wall – hence the name Murall Ziri, literally meaning the Ziri wall.

Notwithstanding the smart modern lines and minimalist decor, the ambience is pure Granada – from the Andaluz style courtyard to the arcs, Andalusia decoration, geraniums and carnations in the balconies.

The apartments also look to Andalusian architecture for their inspiration: the bedrooms with their arcs and yeserías and courtyard with a marble column that actually dates back to the 17th century.

All apartments are also fully equipped: flat screen TV (60 channels – 8 languages), complimentary Internet connection, glasswork, silverware and dishes of Italian design, air conditioned and heating by “radiating ground” or heat pump, a comfortable convertible sofa, a reading lamp that will be waiting for you after the stroll, so it's certainly not all about yester year. Cotton linen, fluffy towels with aroma to lavender and bathroom amenities are provided.

A magical stay

Our stay in Granada was magical due in large part to the wonderful staff and convenient location of our lodging at the Apartamentos Muralla Ziri. Our reservation coordinator arranged everything for a speedy after-hours check-in and car service from the airport (which we would highly recommend given the very narrow streets and ease of walking everywhere once you are there) and gave us excellent advice and directions to the places we wanted to visit. The apartment was very comfortable and had a fully equipped kitchen making it very much like a home away from home. We look forward to returning the the Apartamentos Murralla Ziri the next time we visit Granada.

Incredible!

It was totally incredible!! easy access to Alhambra palace, cathedral and center. The place where this is was safe. The room was amazing! clean, fabulous and so convenient because there were everything i wanted. The decorations were spectacular. Staffs were so friendly and helpful. They could speak English well so I cant speak any Spanish but I didn't have any problem. Also bed was good quality. This was perfect place to stay. I'm sure I can recommend everyone.
