The Antica Dimora Johlea, is the latest addition to the Johanas (I and II) group of charming accommodations.
New, elegant and slightly more up market than its siblings, it still retains the group philosophy of great value for money right in the heart of Florence, without cutting any corners in terms of comfort or old world style.
And believe us when we say that this is not easy to achieve in such a sought after city where often places to stay are either prohibitively expensive or rather sterile.
Not so here, the Antica Dimora Johlea has plenty of soul and decoration which makes the best of its natural attributes, of which there are many. Situated on top of a 19th century palazzo, it is full of light, with rooms all uniquely designed and decorated with soft hues of natural earth and mineral pigments.
For example, the curtains and canopies of the four-poster beds are made out of precious oriental silk, while pure linen from Florence’s renowned “Antica Tessitoria Busatti” is used to decorate the breakfast hall and living rooms.
Then there’s the utterly delightful rooftop terrace with views that lord it over this incredible city. Everything unfolds before your very eyes. As with the Johana I and II, its just like having your own private house in Florence.
A final note: The Antica Dimora Johlea does not accept credit cards. Travellers cheques are, however, accepted.
