The hotel brochure talks of the Sierra Guara as a magic frontier between man and nature, water and stone.
Certainly the area has a charmed feel about it helped by the fact that it has been little touched by mass tourism. Lovers of adventure, however, may have heard of it as a great place for hand gliding, rock climbing and all terrain biking.
Nearby all this, perched in the stunningly beautiful mediaeval town of Alquézar, can be found the Villa de Alquézar - a simple and unassuming little hotel that seems to breath in the region’s calm. At our last time of visiting the hotel was set to undergo a wide-ranging restoration, and given its enormous potential the results could be spectacular indeed.
Everything is in place for this to be so: a stunning town, breathtaking scenery and extremely welcoming hosts.
