Buy one get two free, for here not only will you be staying at a 14th century convent, but also a castle and a palace.

As one may imagine from its centuries old history, the architecture of the Pousada Flor da Rosa is superb if a little austere, encompassing as it does all the different aspects of its past in a completely harmonious manner. Indeed the mystic of the Orders of the Knights Templars who founded the building in 1356, is still felt in every corner.

Yet to this sense of history has been added a classy, modern touch (guests for example can also stay at a new well thought out extension) and guests will not want for comfort. If ever one wanted to feel what it is like living like royalty in a living castle, sleeping in King Size beds, surrounded stone walls and arched ceilings then we heartily recommend the Pousada Flor da Rosa experience.
