Villa Rina Country House

It may be somewhat trying walking up all those steps to get to the Villa Rina, but boy is it worth it once you get there! Amalfi, its wonderful countryside and deep blue sea unfold majestically before you – an absolute sight for sore eyes. For many, just the views would be worth a stay here but there’s much more to enjoy. We’ll start off with excellent value for money.
The Villa Rina may not be the most luxurious place to stay in Amalfi but for a pretty good rate you get all the trappings of comfort and character of a 14th century villa. Plus it has a few things that money just can’t buy, an absolutely delightful host in Rina who is not just one of the most hospitable owners we know but also an excellent cook to boot. Breakfast is great and other meals can be made on request using usually only the freshest ingredients. We also love the fact that it is a haven of peace and privacy bounded, as it is, by citrus groves and far from the noise of the traffic.
So add this to the value, hospitality and great views and you have a winner on your hands. The home from home feel is further enhanced by the fact that Rina and her family have a friendly dog (Bonnie) and cat (Macho). It's just that sort of place. The only downside is surely the steps to get there. Those of you who are unfit or have walking problems may find it a bit tough, though Viktor is always ready to carry the bags for you if you’re in need of help.
But we’ll end just like we started. Boy is it worth it when you finally get up there!
