Bom Bom Principe

At the northern edge of Príncipe, Bom Bom sits between two sandy beaches, with tropical forest almost touching the sea. This is a place for slowing down rather than filling the day: swimming, walking, watching the light change and discovering an island where nature still sets the pace.

Where You Sleep

Eighteen thatched bungalows are scattered through the gardens, some facing the sea and seven directly by the beach. Interiors are simple and comfortable, with air conditioning, mosquito nets and private terraces. If waking up close to the water matters, choose a Beach Front Bungalow.

A Bit of History

Bom Bom reopened in 2024 after a substantial refurbishment of its bungalows, with interiors by French architect and designer Didier Lefort.

Experiences, Services & Local Discoveries

There is a pool, restaurant, bar and wellness centre, but the real reason to come is Príncipe itself. One guided experience per day is included, with possibilities ranging from snorkelling and nature walks to cultural outings. The entire island forms part of a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, rich in rainforest, endemic species and marine life.

Getting There & Getting Around: You Should Know

Príncipe is reached by a short domestic flight from São Tomé. Bom Bom is around 20 minutes from Príncipe Airport, and shared airport transfers are included. A car is not essential if you plan to use the hotel’s organised experiences; independent exploring can also be arranged locally.
