Casa Capanni Cortona

The Casa Capanni Cortona is the perfect place to regain your inner balance. It´s located in a small Italian village in the heart of Tuscany, surrounded by soothing tranquility. The owners – a group of friends from the Netherlands - fulfilled their dream with this luxury villa.

Their intention was to create a second home in Monsigliolo not only for themselves, but also for other travellers looking for a break. And it worked! The house originating from 1632 has been restored with great attention to detail and now it is open for guests who are seeking for an escape from reality and everyday life.

The house has 9 pretty air conditioned rooms, which were furnished and decorated by an interior designer. You can decide whether to stay in one of the superior rooms Perugino, Leonardo or Signorelli, or in one of the standard rooms called Botticelli, Veronese or Giotto.  On the ground floor you will find the living room with a fireplace, a flat screen TV and seating area, perfectly suitable for socializing with other guests.

In the afternoon you can either read a thrilling book in the garden or cool down in the swimming pool. If you feel like exploring the area you can take the car or the train (3km to the next train station) to Cortona, where you will find a large number of cute little restaurants. It´s also easy to reach Lake Trasimeno (about 20 minutes), which is one of the most popular holiday resorts in Umbria.
