Welcome to Casa G., an elegant boutique hotel located in the heart of Florence that is sure to delight even the most discerning travelers. From the moment you check in, you'll notice the thoughtful touches that make this hotel feel like a true home away from home.

Casa G. Firenze has a rich legacy of masterful crafts and fine porcelain, as it was once the seat of the Ginori ceramics dynasty and the home of Carlo Lorenzini, the writer of Pinocchio. Today, the hotel preserves the historic building's frescoed ceilings and transforms the old ballroom and dining hall into cavernous suites filled with furnishings from skilled craftsmen and vintage finds. The marble honesty bar and serene breakfasting rooms add to the pleasing aesthetics of the hotel, while whimsical touches like turtle motifs and Duomo-shaped lamps infuse the space with personality.

Each of the hotel's fifteen rooms is carefully curated with a small welcome gift, a pile of books, and fabric covers hiding the TVs. Eye-catching prints and flowers in vases from the legacy Ginori 1735 collection add to the ambiance. Casa G. features three room categories, including Suites, Superiors, and Classics, with varying sizes, characters, and atmospheres.

The Suites and Superiors are located on the first floor and also feature frescoed ceilings, a living area on a mezzanine level, and marble bathrooms with tubs. The Superior room five is also noteworthy, featuring a lavishly painted cubby with a sofa. The Classic rooms are located on the second floor and offer a cozy and intimate atmosphere. All rooms feature double beds that can be arranged as doubles or singles, and each room has its own unique bathroom that reflects the soulful character of the building.

In addition to their unique design, the rooms at Casa G. have a special code that allows you to access both the main entrance and your room without having to keep track of a key. They are also equipped with modern amenities and technology to ensure guest comfort, including air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and a minibar.

While the hotel accepts children, there are no specific services or facilities for them. However, adults will appreciate the hotel's efforts toward sustainability, including its plastic-free policy, timed LED lighting, and use of eco-friendly products. Additionally, many of the furnishings are crafted locally or were found at vintage markets, making Casa G. a unique and sustainable option for travelers looking for a truly unforgettable stay in Florence.

Casa G. has two breakfast rooms that are full of character and charm. One of the rooms was once the ancient kitchen, boasting marble surfaces and a library, while the other is connected to the main patio and features a high glass wall. Both rooms are decorated with a selection of Ginori porcelain. Guests can also enjoy two patios that are decorated with plants and suffused lights, offering a tranquil escape from the hectic city routine. Please note that the patios are only accessible during the day, and guests are kindly asked to respect the quiet of other guests.

The hotel has an elevator, but the stairs are also easily accessible (the hotel corresponds to the second and third floor of the building, with an interior garden accessible for travelers). In the evening, guests can enjoy the hotel's honesty bar, where they can indulge in a cocktail while enjoying the smooth sounds of jazz in the background. Linda, the receptionist, is always on hand to recommend the best restaurants and provide insider reviews, ensuring that your vacation in Florence runs smoothly.

The perfect reprieve in the city center!

Date of stay 07/07/2023
We only had the opportunity to stay at Casa G one night before flying out, but already vowed that would be our home base in Florence in the future! Everything was perfect - from the shared lounge to the rooms and fresh breakfast. Felt like a little community. And a quiet reprieve from the crowded streets and heat of July in Florence. Loved the digital entrance - so convenient! And Andres was an incredible host. We will be back!
