Casa das Laranjas (translated: The Orange House) is a charming town house, which was built in the 19th century. 2014 it was restored in loving detail and shines in new splendor since then. As elegant and unique as the house itself is, are also its immediate surroundings: Casa das Laranjas is located in Foz Velha, one of the top addresses in Porto. From your window you can watch, how the Douro River empties into the Atlantic Ocean. Likewise, you can reach the beach, restaurants, bars and cafes in just 3 minutes walking-distance.
All of the offered suites are very individually. The rooms are characterized by their antique and contemporary elements; which create a pleasant atmosphere. Lots of light, bright colors, wood, charming details and beautiful colors as far as the eye can see. Bed and Breakfast is offered here as well as the rental of the whole house to enjoy even more privacy.
The team is very professional and friendly and likes to answer all your questions about Porto and its area. Casa das Laranjas - great place
My husband and I have just returned from a relaxing long weekend in Porto. We spent 2 nights in Casa das Laranjas and really recommend it. Here is a list of the things that made it great:
• Quick, easy and hassle-free booking by email
• Large, comfortable bed
• Tasteful and serene décor
• Luxurious neroli toiletries
• Delicious and substantial breakfasts featuring local produce
• Lovely location near the beach and lots of good neighbourhood restaurants
• Close to paths/ boardwalk along the Duoro/ Atlantic coast which go on for miles
• There is a bus stop nearby – Bus #500 goes along the Duoro, straight into the old town, ending up near the main train station.
Last but not least, it was Rosario’s helpful suggestions and advice about the area which really made our short stay great. She was understanding about my husband’s food allergy and catered for it, no problem.
