We know the word unique is often overused and cliched, but certainly not in this case.
The secret is in the title: Casa do Conto Arts and residence – the House of Tales Arts and residence.
Well, this renovated 19th century bourgeois home from home sure does have a tale to tell. Located 500 metres from Porto’s emblematic Casa da Musica and its metro station, these are a 6 super modern, stylish, spacious set of suites furnished with designer items and period furniture. Creativity is everywhere such as ceilings with printed texts and there are artistic and cultural themes everywhere. Indeed, culture imbues the Casa dos Contos.
All suites also come with a balcony and city views, a kitchenette, flat-screen TV and seating area. A breakfast buffet is freshly prepared each morning in Casa Do Conto’s dining room or on the patio.
There is also a garden with fruit trees and a lounge with a fireplace. Guests can read newspapers in the library or use the free internet computer to check mails. The 24-hour reception staff can make restaurant reservations or organise sightseeing trips to museums.
The Carolina Michaelis and Lapa Metro Stations are located a 2-minute walk away from this property. The medieval Church of Cedofeita is 200 metres away.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The Room was very comfortable and very quite. The staff was also wonderful and a wonderful Breakfast was served. We would definitely stay again.

Traumhafter Garten mitten in der Stadt.
Sehr familiär.
Zimmer über der Rezeption in den Partio allerdings sehr hellhörig.
Wir würden jederzeit wieder hier übernachten.
A great experience
My wife and I stayed at the Casa do Conto in July 2011 and I can say without a doubt that this was a great experience! We were guests at this truly unique hotel for almost a week and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left Alexandra and Tito made us feel like family much more than guests.
I travel the world for busines and have never stayed anywhere that felt so full of life and where we felt so warmly cared for. To call this a hotel is not to do it justice.
This will be our home away from home whenever we visit Porto and I believe that we've found wonderful new friends in the owners and staff in this beautiful city.
