The Country House Lagoa is a restored holiday rental that was once a rural house belonging to the Simões family from the late 19th century. The project was a tribute to the family's heritage, undertaken by the owner Mr. José. The house features unique elements, including a collection of Portuguese pottery, books on Algarve culture, musical treasures, and a kitchen filled with books on various culinary topics and traditional crockery. The house's decorative elements were created by Aida Simões and her son, Miguel Simões. The house is a fine example of popular rural architecture in the Algarve, constructed with traditional materials like lime, wood, stone, and terracotta and a minimalist approach to decoration.

The house comprises of four bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, ceiling fan, and air conditioning. One of the bedrooms has two single beds while the other three have double beds, with one of the double bedrooms having a bathroom accessible for people with mobility impairments.

 The owners prioritize sustainability, using rainwater captured in a cistern for domestic consumption and a photovoltaic system for electricity with the additional use of woodstoves. Energy conservation is also emphasized, with double-glazed windows and a solar-powered hot water tank. Guests are encouraged to conserve water, energy, and properly recycle waste.

The Villa is located approximately 4 km from both the main town of Lagoa to the north and the fishing village of Carvoeiro to the south. The nearest supermarket is 1.3 km away and offers a laundry service, as well as small shops selling national and international newspapers and magazines.
