Tenuta Poggio Il Castellare is situated on the top of a hill, surrounded by vineyards. The property is next to the breathtaking panorama of the Abbey of Saint Antimo, opposite the Val d’Orcia (Orcia Valley) from which Mount Amiata rises imposingly. Enjoy beautiful walks through the old paths that lead to the Abbey of Saint Antimo, from where you can watch an incredible sunset, considered one of the greatest marvels of the world.

The name "Tenuta Poggio Il Castellare" brings you back to the location's historical roots: the ruins of an ancient village on top of the homonymous hill, surrounded by vineyards. The vineyards embrace a set of farmhouses that include cellars, homes, and visitor-welcoming areas. The estate covers a total of forty hectares, with seven devoted to vineyards, two to truffle fields, a medicinal herb wood, and the remaining part to arable land. 

Tenuta Poggio Il Castellare offers seven rooms, all of which are decorated in rustic style, while still giving a warm and welcoming feeling. All the rooms feature air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a satellite TV, and a minibar. Guests are welcome to relax in the swimming pool or the sauna, or why not take a relaxing walk amongst the vineyards?
