Mazaraki Guesthouse is a beautiful piece of land in Pikoulianika near the city of Mystras. From the seven rooms you get a unique view; either over the Byzantine castle of Mystras, the city of Sparta, the valley of the river Eyrotas or the Mount Taygetos. So no matter in which direction you look, the view is intoxicating beautiful to the north, east, south and west!
The guest house is 600 meters above sea-level in a grove with mountain springs and streams. This location makes it an idyllic accommodation yet closely located to the next cites (Sparta 9 km, Athens 230 km).
The house itself consists of three independent buildings, which fit excellently to the environment. The basic idea was to disturb the environment through the Guest House as little as possible, war properly managed. All the buildings were designed by the architect Georgios Giaxoglou; while the stage designer Eleni Manolopoulou cared about the interior-design of Mazaraki. Under her supervision rooms were created with sounding names, such as: wheat, olive, celestial, branches-, pomegranate or floral room.
