Herdade do Ananás

Herdade do Ananás is a magical place surrounded by nature and greenhouses where they produce the so-called "king of fruits", the durian, and the "fruit of kings", the pineapple.

The rooms and suites look neat and fresh thanks to the renovation of a century-old building by a family of merchants. This luminous property has been theirs since the beginning of trade in the Azores. They have always been in love with nature and show it. With a vintage and elegant decoration in the 8 air-conditioned rooms, Herdade do Ananás maintains the soul it has always had, respecting its origins and tradition.

Enjoy a walk through the pleasant gardens and let yourself be carried away by the picturesque corners of the house as you prepare for a private guided tour in the greenhouse to see the production of pineapples. There you can also taste an authentic, regionally produced pineapple liqueur, made from the best fruits of the Azores. There is also the possibility to book Ayurveda massages in the greenhouses or in the garden. This is the perfect place to relax your mind and unwind.

There is a fire pit in the centre of the fruit orchard with comfortable chairs to enjoy a glass of wine or relax while making a fire with firewood from property. Bicycles are included in your stay and the hotel has private parking.

Each morning they serve a delicious buffet breakfast, composed of regional products and harvested from their own organic garden. Among the options are natural juices, fresh fruits, various types of bread, cereals, cakes, yogurts and homemade jams. All of these are included in the price.

The hotel also has a restaurant with local products and producers, where you can taste some of the tasty dishes of the Azores. These are characterized by high quality ingredients from the Atlantic sea and the farms and livestock in the archipelago.
