Terra Rosa Country House & Vineyards

Terra Rosa Country House & Vineyards, in the countryside near the town of Ponte de Lima, welcomes those looking for tradition, modernity and well-being in the heart of Minho. Francisco Rosa and his daughter Eliana Rosa wanted to share the beauty of their Quinta and its vineyards. This is how the project Terra Rosa Country House & Vineyards was born. In 2017, as the result of several father-daughter conversations, the dream and plan to transform Quinta de Codeçosa into an agrotourism facility came to life.
Quinta de Codeçosa is a family estate dating back to the year of 1758, with a unique environment in Minho and with an unusual size of 70 hectares, 50 of which are vineyards. The farm has a diverse and unique heritage with several traditional houses of the region, a chapel, a large granary and its threshing square, a pigeon loft and some charming stone tanks. There is also a river, the Neiva, which moves the farm’s mills and waters the farm’s fields.
The main house offers, along with the other buildings, a space of comfort and tranquillity, from which you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings and unique landscape. The property is accessed by an elegant cypress-lined entrance, between vineyards rigorously traced and laid out.
The recovery of the Quinta started with Casa do Lúpulo and Casa das Colheitas and a generously-sized outdoor swimming pool heated to 30 degrees. Casa do Lúpulo has seven rooms, three of them suites with a bedroom and living room, a kitchen and a large living and dining room for breakfast and light meals. The second house that has been renovated, Casa das Colheitas, will serve as support facility for the guests, for wine tasting, handicraft and cooking workshops and for events held on the Quinta such as weddings, christenings, birthday parties, team buildings, exhibitions, and other activities. Generosity in every corner and in every gesture marks the atmosphere that Terra Rosa wants to offer to those who visit it.
The family has opted for a concept of sharing and everything the guests see is available for purchase. Let yourself be surprised by the careful selection of furniture, decorative objects, handicrafts and many other unique objects that you will find in the Country House and curated store. It will be a great way to remember the good times spent at Terra Rosa. The furniture and decoration were inspired by the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi, a philosophy where we learn to see beauty in imperfect, ephemeral, incomplete things.
Terra Rosa is the perfect place to experience living at a slower pace: Take time to reflect, listen, take a walk in the vineyards, read a book by the River Neiva or simply live and breathe the calm and pure air of the Quinta.
In addition to the hotel offer, Terra Rosa offers all its guests a range of activities, linked to the Quinta and the surrounding area.
