Hotel Tresanton is a charming cluster of houses, set in a former yacht club, on the edge of the quaint fishing village of St Mawes. It's located directly on the seafront, so the only sounds you'll hear are the splashing of the waves on the shore and the occasional sea shanty, sung by cheery locals. You can enjoy the stunning sea view from every room in the hotel, decorated with paintings and drawings of Cornwall, or from the restaurant's mosaic floored, Pelargonium filled terrace, which is South facing and so has the best views of St Mawes' harbour. If you fancy getting out onto the sea yourself, then the hotel owns an 8m classic yacht, built in 1939 to race for Italy, which is available to guests.
The hotel is incredibly family friendly and loves to welcome children and little furry friends. There are 3 family suites, one resembling a ship's cabin with its built in bunk beds and large television for children. There is also a playroom and children's garden. During the school holidays, the hotel runs a kid's club that includes arts and crafts activities, games on the beach, exploring rock pools, paddling, and swimming - the perfect opportunity for the grown ups to have some peace and quiet. There are also 4 dog friendly rooms and the Dog's Bar, a more relaxed atmosphere to have a drink and play a board game with your pet besides you and the log fire.
