Hotel Rural Biniarroca

Of the major Balearic Islands, Menorca has been best able to preserve its exceptional patrimony from the advent of mass tourism, as it remains a place of tranquil, unsullied Mediterranean beauty. No accommodation seems to capture these characteristics better than the 16th century farmhouse that goes by the name of Biniarroca Hotel Rural.
Who do we have to thank for this? Sheelagh and Lindsay, two artists who acquired the house some years ago, renovated and expanded it with their own brand of undoubted style. The quality of this little gem is obvious as soon as the visitor comes upon its bougainvilleas covered walls and crosses the stone calizas arch that leads onto the open courtyard. Everything done with meticulous taste and care.
Inside, only quality materials and fittings have been used, many of which were brought from the local antique shops of Mahon. Throughout the house there are many lovely corners and surprises to enjoy – from family heirlooms to ceramic pieces or simply fresh flowers cut from the garden. Bedrooms come in a wide variety of decoration – from English Edwardian style to Mediterranean rustic and Italian – but all maintain the common denominator of quality and 21st comforts such as air conditioning and heating.
