Cerro da Fontinha

Wonderful rustic farmhouse in the Alentejo’s Vincentine Coast. These typical, whitewashed pair of Alentejo farmhouses are located in the Vicentine Coast Natural Park, a stunning stretch of coastline in one Europe's largest reserves. As if this was not enough, the Cerro da Fontinha is then protected by a further 15 hectares of eucalyptus woodland, front and back gardens ending by a lake where guests can take a swim or indulge in a spot of fishing.
These facts alone are enough to enjoy an uplifting stay here, for the end result of it all is the perfect recipe for a relaxing stay in Portugal’s most laid-back region. Indeed, the siesta in this area has still kept its meaning. It may seem a cliché but inside, decoration follows the traditional rustic style in total harmony with the regional materials used in the region – terra cotta, alcoves and large tiles, just for starters.
Comfort, simplicity and a certain amount of style and individuality into the bargain: then of course there are the beaches nearby, in our opinion probably the best in Portugal, a case in point being Carvalhal beach. Simply wonderful.
