Casa Do Valle

Casa do Valle is a stunning house located in the middle of a large garden, on a slope that was once a vineyard but is now home to a blooming orchard. The surroundings are stunning with views to the mountains and palaces of Sintra. You'll be able to see all of this from your room, or from the garden, where you can relax in the outdoor pool or make use of the barbecue facilities. There is also a fully equipped kitchen available for guest use, perhaps to make packed lunches for a scenic hike and picnic. You will have access to kettlebells, yoga mats, massages, and free exercise classes during summer, so you can leave feeling refreshed and re-energised. 

You'll also be able to access everything with ease. The guesthouse is only 400m away from the old town centre of Sintra and within walking distance of monuments, museums, restaurants, shopping, and the train line to Lisbon. Your hosts are avid walkers and so would be happy to help organise walking trails around the stunning nature of Sintra. Why not also try surfing, bodyboarding, paragliding, climbing, bouldering, mountain biking, golf, yoga, or meditation? The landscape makes for the perfect backdrop to all of these activities, and what's more, they have a low carbon footprint! 

Casa do Valle is committed to supporting sustainable tourism and their local environment. The property is a Green Key establishment, meaning that they have proven their commitment to protecting the environment and have been rewarded for it. They also support the São Pedro Animal Shelter and NGO Montanha de Afectos. Waste is kept to a minimum. Half empty individual body lotions, left by guests, are refilled and donated to the homeless community in Lisbon. Some of the staff also volunteer to help with the upkeep of Sintra's many walking trails and encourage fulfilling and fun activities that also help to keep your carbon footprint low.
